My stay at M'S Hotel Kyoto Station Kizuya was quite enjoyable overall. The room was a good size and very quiet, which I appreciated for sleeping. However, the automated service felt a bit lacking without 24/7 staff, and I did run into some hot water issues in the bathroom sink. Overall, I would rate my experience positively with a few minor inconveniences.

The Twin Room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space for my luggage. I liked having a table and chairs which added extra surface space. The room was dark and quiet, ideal for a good night's sleep.

Check-in was done through a self-service kiosk but staff were available if needed. While it lacked a personal touch with no 24/7 staff, the help I received was gracious and prompt.

The hotel is just a five-minute walk from Kyoto Station, which made it super convenient. It was surprisingly quiet despite being close to a major transit hub, allowing me to unwind after exploring the city.

Although I didn't dine at the hotel, the close proximity to various eateries in Kyoto made meal options accessible. I especially enjoyed trying grilled salmon nearby, which was good.

The laundry facilities were a great addition, with easy-to-follow instructions in English. I appreciated the access to a water dispenser and microwave on the ground floor.

My stay at M'S Hotel Kyoto Station Kizuya was quite convenient but had its ups and downs. I loved its proximity to Kyoto Station, making it easy to explore the city. However, the bed was a bit too firm for my liking, and the self-check-in process felt outdated. Overall, it met my basic needs, but I hoped for a bit more comfort.

The room was clean and modern despite the bed being quite firm, which may be uncomfortable for those with joint pain. The extra blanket I requested helped alleviate some strain on my back.
Service

The service was generally friendly, but the staff's limited English made communication somewhat challenging. The absence of traditional staff support instead of a clunky self-check-in kiosk felt a bit impersonal.

While there weren't any standout dining options within the hotel, being close to Kyoto Station allowed easy access to numerous restaurants in the area.

I had an overall pleasant stay at M'S Hotel Kyoto Station Kizuya, thanks to its great location just a short walk from Kyoto Station, making it easy to explore the city. However, I did find some downsides, like the thin walls that made it hard to sleep soundly and the somewhat impersonal experience due to the lack of staff. My room was clean and spacious, but some of the amenities could use improvement.

The Double Room I stayed in was quite spacious, which was a relief. I appreciated having a table and chairs to use, but I was disturbed by the noise from outside (those thin walls!). I also had issues with the sink running out of hot water in the mornings, which was a bit inconvenient.

Check-in was easy with a self-service kiosk, but I found that the lack of staff made the whole experience feel quite impersonal. There were multiple codes I had to remember throughout my stay, which was frustrating after a long day of exploring.

I loved how centralized the hotel was! It took me only a few minutes to walk to JR Kyoto, and I could also walk to Kyoto Tower without any hassle. Plus, having convenience stores like 7-Eleven nearby was super helpful!

The dining options were pretty basic, with nothing particularly unique or special, but it was convenient. I couldn't complain about the French fries—those were satisfying after a day out!

The reception staff weren't always available, making it feel like a self-service apartment rather than a hotel. And they didn't speak much English, which was a bit challenging.
